PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

SW-244-100 VOC is a high solids silane water repellent designed to protect concrete from the damaging effects of water, choride and other waterborne contaminants. It penetrates deep into the surface and bonds chemically with the substrate resulting in permanent attachment of the water repellent molecule. SW-244-100 VOC will not leave residue or cause hazing on non-porous substrates such as glass windows, metal frames, and painted surfaces.

SW-244-100 VOC has a very unique molecular structure which enables deep penetration into concrete surfaces. The material reacts with moisture in the air and in the substrate in the presence of an alkaline or acidic environment to produce hydroxy groups. These hydroxy groups will bond with the substrate and itself produce a hydrophobic treatment that inhibits water absorption into the substrate. An alkaline environment, such as new concrete, will catalyze the reaction and speed the formation of the hydrophobic surface.

USAGE

SW-244-100 VOC is an excellent treatment for new and existing cast-in-place concrete, precast, prestressed concrete, architectural concrete as well as, brick, lime stone, granite, sandstone, terra cotta, stuccos and mortars. SW-244-100 VOC has been successfully used to protect parking decks, highways / bridge structures as well as commercial buildings.
