Meeting sulfur specifications in light hydrocarbon liquids such as LPG and NGL is challenging. SULFURTRAP® LH makes it easy.
SULFURTRAP® LH purifies liquid hydrocarbon streams and improves product profitability by effectively eliminating mercaptans and H2S. Its neat spherical particle shape, designed specifically for liquid applications, allows uniform vessel packing and optimal flow distribution. Treated streams meet storage, pipeline, and other transportation requirements for low sulfur and low corrosivity.
LONG BED LIFE = LOWER TREATING COST
SURFURTRAP® LH has a high sulfur-loading capacity resulting in a longer bed life and reduced treating costs of gas liquids. Compared to other adsorbents, SULFURTRAP® LH offers the lowest $/barrel treating cost. It operates efficiently over a broad range of process conditions allowing for turndown and peak flow rates within the same equipment. You get cost-effective, long-lasting purification control of your liquid stream!
QUICKER CHANGE-OUTS = LESS MAINTENANCE COST
SULFURTRAP® LH adsorbent for mercaptan and H2S removal has free-flowing characteristics in its unused and used forms. This allows the used or spent media to be replaced in half the time it takes to replace other solid-based scavenger systems. Less time, lower cost. Easy.

“SULFURTRAP® LH consistently meets our needs for low total sulfur on a C4+ stream. We get great results from the system CPI helped us design and implement. The team at CPI is highly responsive and very easy to work with.”
Jamie, Senior Staff Engineer
Independent Midstream Processor
“We needed an economic alternative to zinc oxide to treat a liquid hydrocarbon stream from our overhead stabilizer at ambient temperature. The SULFURTRAP® LH adsorbent exceeded our expectations by removing H2S & mercaptans, giving us a 1a copper strip.”

In typical configurations, SULFURTRAP® LH can be loaded into a single vessel or into a multi-vessel arrangement with a lead-lag or parallel configuration where liquid hydrocarbon flows up through the vessel. The sulfur compounds chemically react with SULFURTRAP® LH to form a safe, stable and in most cases non-hazardous byproduct. Depletion of the SULFURTRAP® LH is dependent only upon the concentration of hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans, and flow rate through the bed.
